Onion Procurement
MahaFPC is a pioneer in the creation of Public-Private Partnership for Agricultural Infrastructure Development (PPPAID) focused on onion procurement. Our infrastructure spans seven districts with 19 locations with 1000MT each in Maharashtra. By building specialized storage and processing facilities, we address critical issues such as:
- Post-harvest Losses: Reducing wastage by providing temperature-controlled storage.
- Market Linkages: Connecting farmers directly with buyers, thus offering better prices and reducing dependency on middlemen.
- Logistics & Processing: Facilitating easy transportation and efficient handling of produce, ensuring quality is maintained from farm to market.
This infrastructure enables farmers to store onions securely during price fluctuations, ensuring they get the best value for their produce when market conditions are favorable.
