Incorporation
Maharashtra Farmer Producer Company Limited (MahaFPC) was incorporated on 3rd September 2014 in Maharashtra, India.
It was registered under Part IXA and Section 581B of the Companies Act, 1956, also known as the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2002. This Act, often referred to as the Producer Company Act 2002, is a hybrid of the Cooperatives Act and the Companies Act, offering an advanced version of cooperative structures. MahaFPC was jointly promoted by government organizations such as the Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC), Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, and the Department of Agriculture, Government of Maharashtra. Additionally, key developmental organizations like Rabo Bank Foundation, Vrutti, and others supported its establishment.
