Andreas Hermes Akademie (AHA) is the knowledge partner of MAHA Farmers Producer Company Limited (MAHAFPC) for strengthening the leadership, managerial and entrepreneurial capacities of Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) leaders. The partnership focuses on practical, experiential and application-oriented learning, enabling FPO leaders to strengthen their understanding of business management, collective entrepreneurship, value chains and sustainable agriculture.
About Andreas Hermes Akademie
The Andreas Hermes Akademie has been supporting professional development in the agricultural sector for over 70 years. Since 2015, the Akademie has expanded its international engagement in close collaboration with the German Farmers’ Association. Its work is centred on high-quality training, practice-oriented advisory services and targeted capacity building for agricultural organisations and their leaders.
Through its experience and international perspective, AHA brings valuable knowledge and learning approaches to developing FPO leadership and cooperative entrepreneurship in India.
MANAGE (National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management): We collaborate with MANAGE to provide training on the latest agricultural technologies, marketing strategies, and sustainable farming practices. MANAGE’s expertise in extension services equips FPCs to improve their outreach and impact on farmers.
VAMNICOM (Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management): VAMNICOM plays a crucial role in training FPC leaders on cooperative governance, financial management, and strategic planning. These programs empower our FPCs to manage their operations more effectively.
MPKV (Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri): MPKV provides cutting-edge research in crop improvement, soil health, and pest management. We collaborate on research programs aimed at improving the productivity and profitability of pulses and other crops.
